Needs Assessment for Information Visibility - Attend Our CoP Event
Jinfo Blog
30th January 2015
Abstract
There are three components essential to making information visible. FreePint's Community of Practice teleconferences in March offer practical workshops where you can prioritise and assess the existing gaps in your organisation around these components and devise a practical and actionable plan to address any gaps.
Item
Join FreePint's Community of Practice online teleconference on Tuesday 10th March or Thursday 12th March where we discuss the three components essential to making information visible:
- Optimised technology
- Targeted content
- Effective user behaviour.
Workshop Discussion
Part of FreePint's Topic Series "Making Information Visible", this CoP is a workshop to enable you to:
- Prioritise and assess the existing gaps in your organisation around these components
- Create a practical and actionable plan for measurable improvements.
Resulting in an Actionable Plan and Access to Relevant Tools and Resources
We'll consider the variables that make up each of these components and brainstorm how to address seemingly intractable problems - whether it's lack of control over technology choices and implementations, or users who refuse to even think about changing their behaviour.
Following the session, you'll get access to tools and resources you can use to put these ideas into practice in your organisation.
"FreePint's CoPs are extremely relevant and well worth attending." Information centre manager
"Attending the in person CoP gave me the opportunity to step back and think a little bit differently about how to get things done." Senior researcher
