Abstract
ISI Emerging Markets has launched EMISPRO, a professional version of the Emerging Markets Information Service, aimed at investment bankers, researchers, credit analysts and business development users. The product provides a range of sophisticated tools for analysing the content.
Item
ISI Emerging Markets has launched EMISPRO, a professional version of its flagship company, industry and country business information product – Emerging Markets Information Service (EMIS). EMISPRO offers all the data found in EMIS plus more sophisticated analytical capability and personalisation features.
The product is built on a new EMIS platform, which has been developed based on the result of extensive research with EMIS customers and analysis of their workflow requirements.
Emerging Markets Focus
EMISPRO is aimed at users including credit analysts, investment bankers, researchers, salespeople and business development. EMIS is used by clients in both in emerging markets and the developed world, with over half its business coming from emerging markets.
The comprehensive content, covering 107 emerging markets in 15 languages, includes over 9,000 aggregated sources and ISI’s own proprietary content, including its M&A service DealWatch and economic data from its CEIC subsidiary.
Analysis & Assessment
The product's sophisticated functionality includes company screening tools, peer analysis, deal valuations, deal forecasts, credit scoring tools and company analytics.
The risk assessment tool, Credit Analytics, is available as an option with Company Profiles. It provides credit risk assessment for companies using a EMIS Benchmark score and analysis of its historical performance to provide financial score and credit quota recommendations.
Output Options
The use of clickable maps in the DealWatch and Macroeconomic tabs provides easy access to underlying data. A useful dashboard provides a good overview of the user's area of interest.
EMISPRO offers a range of output functions depending on the tab being used, including a tear sheet, PDF generation, export to Excel and Word, as well as an online Excel function within the product.
Migration to the New Platform
Launched in November 2013, during the first three months of its life all EMIS customers will have access to both the EMIS and EMISPRO platforms. During this period, ISI’s local client relationship team will provide direct training to the users through its network of 15+ offices.
Once the user is trained, the new EMISPRO platform is set as default, but users will be allowed to return to the classic EMIS platform. ISI expects the migration to be complete by March 2014.
