Jinfo Blog
20th December 2013
Abstract
Euromonitor's Passport database offers market research data on 28 consumer industries and 210 countries which can be customised and filtered in many ways. With over 115 million statistics available, users can either gain an overview of a country or industry using the Dashboards or delve deeper using the Centre for Analytics, Modelling and Innovation (CAMI) to get more precise answers that help support strategic planning, risk and business intelligence functions.
Item
Euromonitor's Passport is a leading global market research database providing statistics and analysis on a wide range of industries from consumer products such as health and luxury goods to services including consumer finance and retailing.
Visualisations & Information in a Snapshot
One particularly notable feature of Passport is the Dashboards which provide a useful overview of a topic or industry. These have been enhanced since the last review with improved functionality and visualisations. With an interactive colour-coded map of the world, they provide key statistics and by rolling your mouse over the map you can see various data for different countries in a pop-up window.
You can view the data as a map, bar chart or scatter plot which lets you compare two variables at the same time. You can change category, geography and currency and highlight countries. If you need further details of your selection you can do so by launching the Small Vis app and even print or export your view as a PNG image, a PDF or into PowerPoint.
Precise Answers to Support Planning
If you're looking to delve deeper into Passport's data you can do this too via the Centre for Analytics, Modelling and Innovation (CAMI). This is where "science meets business" and users can get more precise answers that help support strategic planning, risk and business intelligence functions.
Euromonitor applies quantitative methods to data, taking a more scientific approach by offering interactive models and in-depth content on macro-economics and industry trends. With 115 million statistics embedded in Passport, CAMI aims to find innovative ways of retrieving and presenting this information.
Enhanced Consumer Market Research Data
Since its last review, Passport has been greatly enhanced to make finding global market research data even easier and it's clear to see how it would be of value to any company that needs consumer market research data.
