Abstract
As part of the FreePint Topic Series: Compliance in Context we find out more about some of the prominent vendors of compliance-related products. For products designed to maintain compliance with financial regulations, workflow integration means more than efficiency. It means fundamental protection against regulatory risk - for the organisation and for the individuals who lead that organisation. FreePint interviews leading vendors of compliance products to find out more about their strategy, philosophy and resources.

Information products that fit into the workflow have become standard for a wide range of business uses: sales professionals benefit today from workflow-enabled products that match up company and executive news with their customer databases. Bankers and financial professionals have access to tools that pull together fresh market data with accounts under management. Competitive intelligence professionals access the latest insights on brands, companies and customers while reviewing email and inbound newsletters.
All these workflow applications result in better insight and greater efficiency.
But for products designed to maintain compliance with financial regulations, workflow integration means more than efficiency. It means fundamental protection against regulatory risk - for the organisation and for the individuals who lead that organisation.
Understanding the Philosophy & Strategy
What does it take to create, support and maintain products that serve this function? Answering this question requires research beyond what we normally undertake with an individual product review, which offers a snapshot-in-time view on how a given product performs. We also want to understand the philosophy, strategy and resources of the vendors who produce these products.
Throughout the FreePint Topic Series: Compliance in Context, we are publishing Q&A articles from prominent vendors of compliance-related products. The aim of these articles is to provide you with insight into the approaches, resources and intentions of the vendors addressing this critical segment of information, beyond what we provide within individual product reviews.
A Cohesive Approach to GRC with Thomson Reuters
The first of these is "Q&A with Thomson Reuters: Developing a Connected Approach to GRC", providing commentary from Andrew Neblett, who leads the global Enterprise Risk Management business segment of Thomson Reuters’ GRC business.
