Articulating and Measuring Objectives for DIY Content Aggregation
Jinfo Report
23rd December 2015
Abstract
The FreePint Webinar, "DIY Content Aggregation: Benefits & Costs of Managing Your Own Platform", examined in part how to articulate and make measurable the organisational objectives associated with a DIY project.
- The first model offers a suggested starting point for discussion on understanding objectives and helps to hone down your objectives for the tool
- The second will help you to think about success measures and how to measure progress towards those objectives.
Use these tools prior to or in parallel with any projects relating to evaluation of aggregation tools, such as Newsdesk, EditorEye, Linex, Attensa, Northern Light SinglePoint, InfoDesk or Manzama, or if you're considering internal development of a platform (even a simple portal page on an intranet).
This report accompanies Robin Neidorf's article "DIY Content Aggregation - Emerging Alternatives to Traditional Databases".
