Market landscape - macroeconomic data
Jinfo Report
11th December 2015
Abstract
Ten of the most popular and reliable databases are covered.
We provide a brief description of each source, a link to the homepage, geographic scope, forecast range, frequency and subscription type.
This table accompanies Anja Thygesen's article "Finding and Using Macroeconomic Data" where she considers key macroeconomic indicators such as consumer spending and production prices. Anja also highlights how macroeconomic data can be used in research and looks at the main types of data provider, at national and international level.
Most of the historical macroeconomic data is available free of charge but once you start looking for reliable forecasts beyond the current and following year or data outside the usual key figures, you may have to pay for the data...
