Abstract
We report on the analysis and findings of FreePint's research into private company information, we include details on those suppliers which respondents use as their primary and secondary sources, and which niche sources information managers prefer. Vendors and products mentioned include Alacra, BvD, Capital IQ, Dow Jones Companies & Executives, Hoover's, LexisNexis Dossier, Mergermarket and OneSource.
We also look at the underlying needs for the data on private companies, the various facets of information required (detailed financials, M&A, etc.) and those considered a priority, and the importance of different geographical regions. The research also exposes variations in perceptions around the data provided on private companies in key countries and regions.
