If you're a LinkedIn user, you might occasionally be asked to provide a "recommendation" for a connection. Whilst this is a worthwhile undertaking, it can be frustrating trying to think of an appropriate comment, knowing that it could be read by anyone who visits that connections profile, including potential employers. To make the process simpler, and to some degree more intuitive, LinkedIn has launched "endorsements" to allow users to endorse skills that are listed on an individual's profile.
