Springshare LibGuides lets librarians curate knowledge and share information by creating online Guides on any topic, subject, or course. In part 3 of the review, Sophie Alexander gives a detailed description of the function and types of Guides that can be used and how to create Guides and organise content. She also shows how librarians may use Guides to improve interaction with their user communities and help showcase library resources.

A recent webinar focused on better understanding what constitutes a source, as part of the Research Focus, "Content and technology for current awareness". In this webinar Margaret Metcalf and Becky Milton from CEB presented a case study on how CEB’s information team conducted a evaluation of their news and information needs and product requirements and how they're optimising the sources used for their internal current awareness services.

We continue our review of the Springshare LibGuides platform which lets librarians curate knowledge and share information by creating online guides on any topic, subject, or course. Sophie Alexander looks at coverage including the development of different types of content over time, and how content can be customised easily to match institutional branding. She also touches on the different types of product from Springshare, including the two versions of the LibGuides, one with added functionality.

We were able to interview president and CEO Donna Terjesen to ask her for more information about VIS services to clients including Am Law 100 firms, and how outsourcing can aid competitiveness.
