Separating Evaluation of Technology from Evaluation of Content
Jinfo Community
30th March 2016
Description
Our research and work with customers increasingly highlights how important it is to think about the technology of content delivery separately from the content required for research and strategy within the business.
This observation runs counter to much of the history of our industry to date, in which "information products" combine content and delivery in a single package.
With the maturity of platforms that enable curation and multistream management, increasing interest in use of APIs and new developments in text and data mining, it's no longer necessary nor desirable to limit licensing and content purchases to "all-in-one" products.

But shifting mindset to think about, evaluate and purchase content and technology separately requires some effort on the part of information buyers. Join this Community session to participate in discussion about the different criteria and approaches you might take to looking at technology separately to content. We'll review examples from our consulting practice, share checklists and evaluation tools and discuss the practical aspects of working with content-agnostic technologies.
Community sessions are open to any organisation with a Jinfo Subscription at the Community level or higher. When your registration is approved, you will receive details to login to the teleconference.
