Sources, Technology, Value - What You Can "Own" and What You Can Influence
Jinfo Community
16th March 2016
Description
Information professionals bring to their work environments unique expertise in three interrelated areas: sources, technology and value.
Maximise Your Success in the Organisation
For maximum success you need to:
- Own strategy and decision-making in some areas
- Influence it in others, and
- Collaborate with a wide range of professionals while doing so.
Join this teleconference Community session to learn the importance of this theory, as well as how to put it into practice. We'll walk through many examples and cases, showing successful "ownership" and "influence"... as well as situations where they create problems.
Collaboration and Influencing Skills
Today's organisations need to be collaborative environments, particularly where information is concerned. It's essential that the people who manage information and strategy around it can work effectively with end-users, stakeholders, colleagues in IT and procurement, and report up to the executive level in meaningful ways.
When you deeply understand your own expertise in sources, technology and value and can appropriately leverage ownership or influence, you have the best chance of success - for you and for the business.
Community sessions are open to any organisation with a Jinfo Subscription at the Community level or higher. When your registration is approved, you will receive details to login to the teleconference.
