CEIC offers macro and microeconomic data from global primary sources, particularly emerging economies. We last looked at the product in 2011 and decided to revisit it to find out how it's evolved. In this first part of our full product review, we look at the company and its platform, CDMNext, that delivers economic and investment research to economists, analysts, investors, corporations, and universities around the world. We also find out how the product has changed since then with the introduction of its new datasets and databases as well as some of the key advantages of the product.

Of particular note is its clear user interface, the wide range of output options, the vendor's support, and the options for site administrators that allow them to have a higher-level view of who, when and what is being used.
