Abstract
This article identifies some of the AI-related challenges and opportunities for information professional's working in the pharma and life science field, helping them and their colleagues and customers gain an overview of the breadth of AI developments and their current impact and future potential, as well as providing some useful resources and references. Three elements of transformational change at the societal, organisational and personal levels are also explored which see AI developments being integrated into business activities and products.
