Abstract
Systems for curating and delivering current awareness have come a long way with the advent of social media. Whilst RSS and more traditional methods of searching still have their place, curation platforms that use the "wisdom of the crowd" are a valuable addition in extracting and aggregating fresh information whatever the topic. This article looks at emerging sources of information for current awareness, how social media aggregators bring value to your current awareness service, and how sustainable and reliable the technology is.
