Abstract
The downloading of an app onto a smartphone is something that has become the norm. There is an app for practically everything you might want to undertake these days. Apps are everywhere and are literally taking over our lives. Naturally within organisations the landscape is a bit different, however organisations are beginning to see how they must redefine how they think about information management and governance in order to manage social technologies. This is especially important with the move from "systems of record" to "systems of engagement".
