Abstract
The crowded digital financial information space has just consolidated. Econtent alerted us to the acquisition of The Deal LLC by TheStreet Inc, the well-established publisher of free and paid-for financial news and consumer sites. The transaction price was $5.8 million and reflected the value of The Deal’s respected premium database Deal Pipeline, which is only four years old and contains news on deals and profiles of individuals and firms.
