Editorial
Was it just me, or did everyone suddenly wake up near the end of September and realise how much we need to get done before the end of the year? Busy weeks behind and ahead of us...
If you're feeling strapped for time (and who isn't?) take advantage of the resources FreePint produces to digest and deliver the crucial insights of our research:
- Index report from Topic Series: With completion of the Topic Series, "All About Usage", we've published an index report organising all content in the series. FreePint Subscribers can login and download the report from here and we've emailed login details to series registrants.
- "What We Learned" Webinar: We also offer a 30-minute webinar after every Topic Series, summarising our key findings. Sessions on "All About Usage" are scheduled in November; register now.
- FreePint for (your industry): A short blog item, published quarterly, supports key industries with a quick guide to resources produced over the past 90 days. Most recent: FreePint for Vendors, FreePint for Biopharma and FreePint for Professional Services. Find your industry at the bottom of our homepage.
That's all in addition to our twice-monthly Subscription Update, the most recent of which you can find here.
Upcoming In Person
Since I began working with FreePint over a decade ago, the tools and resources for distance collaboration have come a long way. Still, I always look forward to opportunities to work in person with colleagues, customers and partners. Recent and upcoming:
- New York: Earlier this week I met with customers and research partners, and delivered a Communities of Practice session on understanding usage.
- Edinburgh and London: The first week of November, I'm in Edinburgh, working on-site with a customer on the processes we've developed on measuring value. Then on to London, for staff meetings, delivering a research briefing for Thomson Reuters, and hosting another CoP session on usage (limited seats still available).
- New York and Washington, DC: Then it's back to the East Coast to deliver roundtable sessions on behalf of Bureau van Dijk, on private company information. BvD is offering this development workshop to any interested attendees at no cost - learn more and register here.
You might be surprised at how efficient and cost-effective on-site work with FreePint can be. Contact me at robin.neidorf@freepint.com to explore a project or request a visit to a city near you.

"I found the Communities of Practice session one of the most valuable I have attended. It's helpful to talk to so many people who worry about the sorts of things that I do, like how to get the best value for the organisations we work for. You get that breadth of experience and elicit those shared agendas. There are some things that we all struggle with, and hearing what other people have tried that works or doesn't work always saves me a lot of time and energy. It's always an inspiration to hear what you've learned in your research, and also from my colleagues in similar organisations." Director, Scientific Knowledge Services, Agriculture More testimonials
