Editorial
I feel incredibly lucky to be a researcher in the information industry - we have such rich material to work with, from technology innovation, to user behaviours and interactions, to mix-and-match datasets. I've been full-time with FreePint for nearly a decade, and I have yet to even consider boredom.
Yet with all this stimulation, it's sometimes difficult to stand back and see the big picture. What are the most important changes, trends or developments affecting information managers?
That's why our webinar "What We Learned About 'News, and Beyond'" has been so enjoyable to present:
- In just 20 minutes, we provide an easy-to-digest overview of the three most important trends and insights relating to the market for news content and its provision in organisations
Register for a session (available across multiple time zones), which is included in a FreePint Subscription, or use the with the voucher code "NEWS2015" to request guest access.
In the meantime, the current Topic Series, "Making Information Visible" is now in its final month:
- The research, case studies, articles and reviews in this Topic Series have offered a diverse range of perspectives on how best to lead, drive or direct users to the most relevant materials
- It's early days to determine what our big takeaways from "Making Information Visible" will be, but our preliminary survey results suggest untapped potential in leveraging existing technologies more effectively. That should be good news for anyone interested in improving visibility without investing budget... but the key barrier is likely to be staff capacity and stakeholder engagement.
Want to know more? Then be sure to register your interest in this series, tell us what you think about what you find there, and watch for our "what we learned" sessions to be announced in April.
