Take 10 minutes to complete Jinfo's survey on goals and priorities for discovery.

In spring 2017, Jinfo carried out a research project to explore how information professionals define content discovery, what tools they use, and what user needs they seek to address. We invite you now to participate in a brief follow-up survey.

The 2017 research confirmed that many end users experience deep frustration when accessing the content collections made available to them. Challenges arise from expanding numbers of sources, underlying differences in format or metadata, and rising user expectations.

For this next phase of research, we examine the top three goals for content discovery as identified by respondents to the initial research:

  1. Create a single point of entry to diverse content collections
  2. Improve back-end integration of multiple databases
  3. Generate fresh insights through the use of data analytics.

We're focusing primarily on discovery in the context of pharmaceutical, biomedical and engineering research, although survey participants from other sectors are welcome.

We'll be presenting the research results via webinar (dates TBD) and publishing a report. If you provide a valid email address at the end of the survey, you'll receive a copy of the report, as well as information about webinars and other presentations on the findings.

Please take 10 minutes to complete the survey now. I look forward to bringing you the results.
