The information world is changing fast; we need to ensure our thinking on which skills are essential for information teams keeps pace.
Nowhere is this more salient than in the emerging world of data analytics projects, where the characteristics of success have as much to do with consultancy and creativity as with technical tools and knowledge.
In the article, "Ensure your information team is essential to data analytics projects," we explore some of the early results of the "Jinfo survey - data analytics needs and concerns 2017", specific to needed skills. Survey responses to date demonstrate a critical gap between what respondents think is needed and the current level of their team's skills.
