Abstract

Item
Global media monitoring and analysis platform, LexisNexis Newsdesk, allows you to search, analyse and share market intelligence to make strategic and informed business decisions.
A valuable tool for the business development, PR, marketing and communications world, LexisNexis Newsdesk has been reviewed by Jinfo previously. Since our last review in March 2016, it has enhanced its services with some key developments.
Reviewer Jan Knight takes a fresh look at the user-friendly Newdesk interface, alongside new developments such as Analysis Builder in our 2017 mini review of Newsdesk.
Be aware, stay aware
Since its launch in 2015, LexisNexis has consistently offered its customers a user-friendly platform in Newsdesk, with real value such as "almost real-time" current awareness information.
There is no scope nowadays for businesses to be unaware of any press coverage of themselves, negative or otherwise.
As Jan Knight explains, "The quicker a company can respond to negative press coverage or social media posts, the better it is for their own brand. With customer reviews and comments 'going viral' so quickly via social media, companies need to be even more aware, in almost real-time, just what is being said and shared about them."
Those looking for up-to-date monitoring of topics from licensed articles and other web sources and platforms can rely on the award-winning platform to provide timely and cost-effective coverage.
