Abstract
So you don't speak Russian but getting access to Russian business information isn't as complicated as it used to be. In "Product review of Credinform Globas-i", we show you how you can access all the Russian company information you may ever need.
Item
If you're planning to do business with Russian companies or want to find out about them, then you need to take a look at our product review of Credinform Globas-i. This online business information service specialises in business data and analytics from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
There's an English version and reports can be downloaded in German too, so you don't need to be fluent in Russian - which is undoubtedly a bonus. Having said that, if you do have Russian-language skills, the website has a Russian text version.
Reviewer Andrew Lucas notes that the platform doesn't yet have English translation perfectly mastered but he shows you how well Credinform Globas-i works for non-Russian speakers, including how to deal with Russian official industry classifications. Andrew guides you through company reports, alerting functionality, what happens if you change supplier and a lot more.
Advantages and disadvantages
Credinform Globas-i hosts information on more than 23 million Russian Federation company and sole trader records as well as data from the Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. A bonus has to be that you can access information about sole traders, those single-handed companies that are making such a difference to the way systems work. Another benefit is that the site has a new interface which launched in 2017.
Advantages outweigh disadvantages, Andrew writes, "For international companies doing business in Russia or with Russian companies, Globas-i improves business transparency by facilitating the verification of business partners and helping to mitigate risk."
