A new event, "Content Workflow 2015" will be held in London on 20th October and Frankfurt on 22nd October.

As we've seen in our current Topic Series "All About Usage - From Content Sharing to Data Mining", information professionals and end-users are faced with challenges such as knowing how and when to obtain permission to share content, how to control access to content, and struggling to keep up with the way that technology is enabling previously unthought-of ways of using and accessing content.

With this in mind, I'm excited to be attending this event which includes speakers from a variety of organisations, all of whom will share their own unique expertise with delegates.

From the UK, Eduserv (the body behind OpenAthens) and The Copyright Licensing Agency will field speakers. Experts from the USA are also attending, with talks from ProQuest/Pi2 and Beacon Technology Partners as well as event organiser Reprints Desk.

Managing Complex Data

Registration is open to content buyers at no cost (register here). Attendees will include information professionals, R&D managers and others involved in acquiring and managing content resources. Representatives from pharmaceutical and STM companies are attending, along with peers from other fields where there's demand for managing vast amounts of complex data from numerous sources.

As James Bennett of The Copyright Licensing Agency explains, "The future holds greater collaboration and cooperation between collective management organisations and content providers and technology experts - this conference is the perfect opportunity to hear more from all those bodies about how this is becoming a reality."

Throughout the day, sessions will cover copyright, user authentication, document delivery and research techniques for uncovering end user needs, plus an end-of-day pharma session on literature monitoring and triaging.

I'm particularly looking forward to meeting speakers and delegates and gaining the unique insight we can only get by talking with one another - and there'll be plenty of opportunities for networking throughout the day as well as at the afternoon reception.

Registration is free to content buyers. Learn more about the agenda and register here.
