Abstract
The subjects of content management, copyright and authentication are examined in vendor interviews, expert articles and webinars as part of the Topic Series "All About Usage". We highlight a new in-depth review of Westlaw UK and its mobile-friendly web app, as well as an upcoming Community of Practice event in New York and London which promises to be fascinating for both buyers and sellers of information.

Content (Articles, Reports, Webinars)
We're heading towards the end of September and the conclusion of the current Topic Series, "All About Usage" but we continue to publish plenty of articles and reviews which tackle different aspects of content sharing, copyright and usage.
In an article from our new regular writer, copyright expert Clare Painter, she looks at "How Much Will it Cost to Use Someone Else's Copyright Content?" and tackles how to gain permission from rights holders to reuse content - and how to identify who the rights holder is.
Meanwhile content specialist Dale Moore interviewed three vendors, Attensa, EditorEye and Linex Systems, to find out their views on the challenges facing information workers and managers. In "Content Management Tools That Really Can Deliver" he also explores the differentiators between the products and how to use your content management system to fully exploit your information sources.
Outside of the Topic Series, our reviewers have been busy getting to grips with a number of products and Scott Vine, a senior information officer for a leading law firm, conducted an in-depth review of Westlaw UK. He also tested out the Westlaw UK Web App, which he found works "remarkably well".
We ran the Webinar "Authentication Primer: Which Approach Does What?" earlier in September, a lively session with no shortage of questions from participants, and will be releasing a recording soon.
Don't miss the upcoming Webinars "Recommit to Risk Management: A Strategic Value Information Practitioners Can Deliver" on 8th October and "What We Learned about Usage" in November.
Community
The Community of Practice (CoP) sessions "Understanding Usage - Buyers and Sellers Seeking Alignment" in New York in October and London in November, give both vendors and information purchasers the opportunity to speak freely and in-depth about what "usage" looks like today, and in the future, and how both sides of the commercial relationship understand and value usage.
The sessions are faciliated by FreePint's director of research, Robin Neidorf, who will also introduce key learnings from the full sets of research and findings from the Topic Series, "All About Usage" where the focus was on when, how and why content is used.
Consulting
Some challenges are unique to a given organisation, but many are consistent across organisations and even industries. It's common for Consulting-level customers to participate in a Community of Practice session or Webinar originally designed for a general audience and then arrange a bespoke session on the same subject to go deeper or ensure their whole team can participate.
Such was the case recently with a Consulting-level customer who had participated in last November's Webinar, "Reaching the C-Suite... And Getting Their Attention in the First Place" (recording available; login with your FreePint Subscription credentials). As the team works on the first draft of its 2016 budget, they're first getting a refresher on what matters to the most senior levels in their business, how to make the case to them and how to get on their radar.
Our Content is the broad platform through which we publish research-based insights. Community provides the environment to discuss them with peers. Consulting tailors the insight to your needs. Find the right FreePint Subscription level to meet your needs.
