The many facets of using content in an increasingly complex digital and mobile world continue to be explored in the FreePint Topic Series "All About Usage - From Content Sharing to Data Mining" (register for free updates).
The series, which has reached its midpoint, provides a diverse range of approaches to the topic of "usage":
- Information industry expert Martin Murtland provides an excellent overview in his "Introduction and Overview of Content Management Systems (CMS)". He considers what a buyer should look for in a CMS and some practical steps on how to select a system
- Meanwhile, Sophie Alexander undertakes a four-part Product Review of EditorEye, the Software as a Service (SaaS) content filtering technology platform
- Lauren Tulloch, director of corporate products and services for the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) shares her thoughts in "RightFind XML for Mining - a Q&A with Copyright Clearance Center (CCC)"
- In "Towards a Perfect Procurement Process", Anders Lautrup-Larsen explains how to sign a perfect information services provider contract. He looks at the options for procurement, covers the ideal stakeholder formation of a procurement group, how to centralise handling of company subscriptions, as well as the alternatives to handling them in-house
- FreePint's research division is undertaking further surveys for the "All About Usage" series, with the current survey focusing on corporate policies on web content. Lynn Strand explains how readers can participate in the research in "Managing Use of Web Content".
These are just some of the highlights from the series, with many other fascinating insights to come.
