This year's SLA Conference in Boston (US) in June features a workshop session from FreePint's director of research, Robin Neidorf. The four-hour session provides practical help for information professionals responsible for developing effective distance learning options for users.

Teach Beyond Your Reach: Effective Distance Learning Options
Robin is running a pre-conference workshop on Saturday 13th June, from 8 AM to 12 noon: "Teach Beyond Your Reach: A Train-the-Trainer Workshop".
The workshop focuses on developing effective distance learning options for users.
Asking the right questions about audience, content, format and outcomes are essential to enable you to create and run practical distance learning programmes.
Robin will explore audience learning styles that will help develop new knowledge, and discuss format options for synchronous and asynchronous learning and the best learning outcomes, the right content scope and engagement level, and communication and measurement of outcomes.
She explains, "You and your trainers have subject-matter expertise, use this workshop to translate that expertise into distance learning modules that meet your objectives."
