Find What You Value in FreePint
Jinfo Blog
12th March 2014
Abstract
FreePint continues its focus on the value offered by its own collection and on the ROI offered by the information products from vendors across the gamut of industries and organisations. Robin Neidorf looks at how FreePint signposts content through the blog pieces, Series and product reviews - and how these sources of information are complemented by regular Webinars and Community of Practice sessions.
Item
One of the exciting characteristics of the information world is that it touches just about every industry and every type of organisation out there. This same characteristic can make it challenging for FreePint readers to find the content most relevant to their needs in our collection.
Two recent blog items can help you find your way:
- Emerging Markets Resources: if your organisation is amongst the many trying to make emerging markets part of your growth strategy, you'll find Perrin Kerravala's overview of recent FreePint content on emerging markets resources useful and enlightening.
- Vendors: if you sell information products or information-related services, check out Ann Marie Plankey's recent item for vendors about how we've enhanced the FreePint Subscription for you. Learn how you can get the most value from FreePint for market and competitive intelligence, as well as build visibility with our buy-side audience.
You might also find it helpful to review our Topic Categories to discover areas of coverage of interest to you and your work.
Social Enterprise Series
We're nearing the conclusion of the FreePint Topic Series: The Social Enterprise. If you're still struggling to identify strong use cases that connect social tools to business objectives, Amit Kothari's article on alignment - including practical examples and templates - will be particularly useful.
We dissected another practical example in the FreePint Webinar: Case Study of CapInTouch as part of this series. Request access to the recording by completing this form.
Latest Product Reviews
Chris Porter startsour collection of reviews of social media monitoring tools, with the first chapters of his report on Engage121. He writes in this blog item about the overall project of understanding the range and scope of social monitoring tools available. Also in the production pipeline are reviews of competitive products from PR Newswire, Cision and other vendors.
Also published recently: Yulia Aspinall's Mini Review of F1000Prime, an innovative tool for researchers in the life sciences.
Webinars and CoPs
We're filling in the calendar of FreePint Webinars and Communities of Practice through the spring, which you can now find on our Eventbrite page. Of particular interest are:
- A Vendor CoP session on understanding what buyers want in content products
- In-person CoP sessions in Philadelphia (April) and London (May) on measuring value
- A FreePint Webinar on the economics of content licensing.
FreePint Webinars are included in all FreePint Subscriptions; CoPs are included at the Team level and higher. Learn more about all FreePint Subscription levels.
