Abstract

"My Favourite Tipples", readers' recommended online resources and an integral part of the FreePint Newsletter, will now also be available as fully searchable Feature blog items.

Item

The "My Favourite Tipples" section of the FreePint Newsletter has long proved popular. Tipplers from a variety of industries and professions within the information industry offer an insight into the online resources they find most useful for work - and sometimes for leisure too.

Fully Searchable Tipples

Future Tipples will now be available as searchable items on the FreePint Features blog. Because Features blog items are searchable, even by non-Subscribers, a "hit" on a word such as "shipping" in the Tipples would return the item. Searchers can also find mentions of specific resources highlighted in the Tipples, or the name and organisation to which the writer is affiliated, for example.

Recommended Online Sources from a Variety of Industries

The first Tipples published as a Feature blog item were contributed by Liz Hawkes, who manages the EMEA Research Services at Reed Smith. My Favourite Tipples from a Global Law Firm Research Specialist has already been read over 600 times since it went online in December.
