FreePint, Free Range: Live Events this Winter
Jinfo Blog
5th December 2013
Abstract
FreePint's Community of Practice sessions will next year be available in-person, with events upcoming in London and New York in January and Chicago and Minneapolis in February. Sessions allow FreePint Subscribers to connect in real time with peers around critical topics like changes in news aggregation, mobile content security, and the value of content investments.
Item
If you've had a chance to participate in one of FreePint's Community of Practice (CoP) teleconferences, you know the value of connecting in real time with peers, around critical topics like changes in news aggregation, demonstrating and measuring the value of content investments, and mobile content security.
I'm pleased to announce that we're now expanding our CoP offerings to include in-person events. Upcoming sessions will focus on changes in news aggregation and how organisations are rethinking news awareness. They take place in London and New York in January, and Chicago and Minneapolis in February.
As with all CoPs, participation is included in your FreePint Subscription at the Team level or higher, but we're making a handful of places available to prospective customers too.

Concluding "Beyond Aggregation"
The final product reviews of news aggregation service providers are appearing in the FreePint Subscription over the next week or so. Full reviews of Nexis and Northern Light SinglePoint have been added, along with Mini Reviews of FirstRain and Silobreaker. Coming shortly will be a full review of Westlaw Practitioner Insights.
That's a total of 11 reviews focused on providers of aggregated news content - a respectable showing in a competitive sector. As we plan and develop content through Topic Series, we're better able to provide a comprehensive view of a segment of content, as well as compare and contrast the solutions available to you in that area.
What's Next?
So what's planned for future Topic Series? I've recently requested input from our customer "sounding board" to gauge interest in different product reviews and topics, and the plans for the coming year are taking shape. Get the details on the next FreePint Topic Series:
- The Social Enterprise
- International Copyright
- Pricing, Licensing and Negotiations
- Next-Gen Competitive Intelligence.
Plus planned product reviews.
Don't Miss the Value
The free stuff is only a taste of the value FreePint offers. As one customer put it in a recent testimonial:
"There are few information resources dedicated to our role as information and knowledge professionals. FreePint has its finger on the pulse and offers great insight into the most important issues affecting us," vendor manager, global tax consultancy.
I invite you to learn more about how we can support the value and visibility of information - and your unique skills - within your organisation. Complete our online form, "How can FreePint help?" to start the conversation.
