News Integration in Work Environments: Lessons from the Field
Join us on Thursday, 21 November, for "News Integration in Work Environments: Lessons from the Field", to hear from Dave Filip, a consultant who has worked with a range of multinational organisations over the past three decades on integrating content with desktop solutions to meet user needs.
He will present two case studies, which will illustrate key considerations in:
- Usability
- Blending content sets
- Balancing performance and overhead
- Meeting both user expectations and organisational needs.
This session is generously sponsored by Acquire Media.
New Thinking on News Awareness: Technology, Content and Culture
On Tuesday, 3 December, a terrific panel of three experts, moderated and led by series producer Andrew Grave, will share their insights on the three-legged stool supporting successful news awareness projects: technology, content and culture.
We'll first hear from Shimrit Janes, author of the article "Taking a Step Back From News Aggregation Tools: What is Current Awareness?", who will focus on the human elements of successful news awareness projects. How do you gain buy-in from key stakeholders for a project that thinks "beyond aggregation" to next generation solutions? How do user needs and perspectives guide your project?
Then Charlie Davidson, CEO of Attensa, offers his perspective on the importance of understanding, selecting and maximising the right technology to support customised news awareness. With so many emerging choices, how can you be sure you are guiding your organisation towards the right ones? And, once one is selected, how can you be part of a successful implementation?
David Seuss, CEO of Northern Light, then brings forward his expertise on understanding the nuances of content selection and management. Whether you rely on licensed content, aggregated providers or self-managed portfolios, you need to match resources to needs while minimising the overheads of managing the content.
This session is supported through all sponsors of the FreePint Topic Series: Beyond Aggregation.
Editor's Note: Beyond Aggregation
