Abstract
FreePint's Series approach tackles essential topics through articles, reports, case studies and webinars. The current Series is "Big Data in Action" with a series on mobile security coming in the summer and an autumn series on regulatory compliance planned.

Since the last issue of the FreePint Newsletter, we've published our regular volume of industry commentary and product reviews (including an in-depth review of InsideView and a mini-review of ThomasNet), along with Anne Jordan's monthly articles about changes to the sources in aggregators like Factiva.
But the most significant group of new content has been published as part of the FreePint Series: Big Data in Action.
About this FreePint Series
The Series approach to publishing enables us to focus our editorial research on a specific area for a short period of time. From mid-April through early June, the FreePint Series: Big Data in Action offers articles, reports, webinars and even a live talk at the SLA annual conference on a topic that is top-of-mind in many organisations.
The first articles in this series provided insight from the perspective of different vendors: Attunity, which focuses on speeding data movement to support big data projects, and Connotate, which offers technology to gather and normalise web-based information for big data analysis.
If big data is a critical topic in your organisation, take a minute to register your interest in the series. You'll receive a free copy of the FreePint Report: Buyer's Guide on Big Data, plus series producer Victor Camlek's editorials explaining what's been published and what it means to you.
We'll also be opening up registration very soon for the FreePint Webinar "Big Data in Action: Plain Language, Practical Guidance". The first invitations to attend this free session will go to those who have registered interest. Any remaining seats will be available on a first-reserved basis.
Future Series
The Series approach also gives us an effective way to provide in-depth practical guidance on areas that customers tell us are "Essential Topics". We're already planning a July-August series on mobile security, and a September-October series on regulatory compliance.
If FreePint's Essential Topics align with your priorities, please consider a FreePint Subscription to make sure your organisation gets access to use and share our articles and reports.
And if these topics do not align with your priorities? Please let us know what is essential to you.
