Share the Value of FreePint Subscription Articles
Jinfo Blog

Abstract
The ability to share any article with anyone else in your organisation is one of the newest features of the FreePint Subscription. Learn how easy it is to put practical articles in front of colleagues, to support the value of everyone's work and the contribution of information to your organisation's objectives.
Item
One of my favourite features we've added to the FreePint Subscription since July 2012 is is the ability to share articles securely with colleagues, regardless of their location.
We've added the ability to share individual articles so that FreePint Subscribers can put practical tips and insight about the information work that everyone needs to be doing directly in front of knowledge workers throughout their organisations.
Any article, any colleague, any Subscription level, any time. If you have a FreePint Subscription, try it now. (And if you don't yet have a FreePint Subscription, request more information.)
How to Share
When you’ve found an article you want to share, make sure you are logged in so that you can see the FreePint Subscription “badge” with the green tick mark on it. Look next to the badge for the link to “share with colleagues.”
Click the link to go to a screen that prompts you to provide your colleague's email address.
You can also add a note to your colleague to explain the item.
Your colleague will receive an email notification with the link to the article, plus your comments.
When to Share
Any time you find an item that might be useful to a colleague, pass it along. Common opportunities for sharing include:
- Cross-department or collaborative teams
- Internal training programmes
- FreePint review or coverage of a product or vendor your organisation uses
- FreePint publication of tips that address specific projects or priorities in different areas of your organisation
Support for your Users, Support for You
Sharing articles enables you to provide targeted, practical support for colleagues, with minimal effort. You also have the ability to review details about sharing (with whom, whether they've viewed), and remove sharing rights from an article.
Your account manager can also provide periodic reports on overall sharing, viewing and downloading activity associated with your FreePint Subscription.
Have questions or comments about sharing, or about any other feature of the FreePint Subscription? We want you to share that too -- with us. Provide feedback online at any time.
