In 2007 Complinet http://www.complinet.com launched a Tracker system to monitor regulators and exchanges. According to the vendor it has more than doubled the number followed in the past year, from 50 to over 115. As a result subscribers, who are financial professionals in the main, can be kept up to date with regulatory changes in around 20 countries. One of the systemâs features is the tracking of regulation over time, by capturing regulatory announcements from regulators and exchanges around the world. The type of material tracked include consultation papers, guidance notes, annual reports, speeches and policy statements, all seen as critical in the identification of financial trends and the rules that govern the sector. In citing the UK Prime Minister Gordon Brownâs recent speech on the need for a global early warning system http://www.number10.gov.uk/Page17192, Complinetâs CEO Chris Pilling said that âwith all the turbulence and uncertainty in the global financial sector, it is more important than ever for organisation to stay apace of regulatory developments across all operational markets globally.âAbout this article
