A new database that helps find brands and their owners was recently launched. FindOwnerSearch.com http://www.findownersearch.com/ is just such a web site. While mostly aimed at consumers it will have value for the commercial researcher too. As the press release states, âFor business owners who want to name a new product, find out what products their competitors are selling or license their brand to a larger company, there is no free database as good as FindOwnerSearch.com for quickly getting all the brand and category information necessary.â http://www.pr-inside.com/officially-launched-findownersearch-com-makes-r501302.htm. The site works by inviting you to type in the brand name, brand owner or brand category. Searching on a brand name gives the owner, ownerâs address, product description and brand category. Searching by category shows all the brand names and brand owners on the database, which claims to have over 1 million entries. The screen layout is very simple but it may annoy some that âAds by Googleâ appear both above and below the search and display portions of the screen. Enjoy looking for information vendors on this service. These are listed under the âComputer Assisted Research Servicesâ, âProviding Databasesâ, âCommercial Information Agency Servicesâ and âElectronic Publishing Servicesâ categories. FindOwnerSearch.com is a site that you may only use occasionally, but when you need it you will probably find it invaluable.About this article
